Find TN Highway 25-70 on a map. We're about halfway between Newport, TN and Hot Springs, North Carolina.
Airport close? Yes, Knoxville, Asheville and Tri-Cities,TN all have airports within about an hour and a half drive. Rental cars at all airports.

What should I bring with me? Even though Smoky Mountain days are usually warm and comfortable the temperature drops with the sun. Thus a jacket is a good choice even for summer nights. All beds have down comforters. Linen, cooking vessels, plates/silverware, towels...that's all furnished. Your water comes from a mountain spring in the holler behind the house and you'll take bottles of it home with you. Bring your fly poles for trout and favorite flies. You'll find a large library of video tapes, dvds and books waiting for you. And you'll want to bring a telephone calling card since the phone service is only a local one. Check with Linda prior to arrival for weather info.
Can I bring my pet? We're animal lovers too but not everyone else is. Thus we are not able to accomodate your pet. Nor can we allow smoking in the house.
Are there "critters" in the Smokies? Yes, raccoons, possum, coyotes, lots of deer and Del Rio is overloaded with black bears. Better news is we don't have any mosquitos.
How's access to property and the house? House sits on four acres of mountain land but site is flat and steps are gentle. Lots of room to park and house is surrounded by an acre of grass with a foot bridge across the creek. You'll also have a fire pit with wood and a deck on the creek...both very accessible and with benches.
